Volunteer for a tSCPA coMMIttee
Committees and task forces are responsible for much of the work that TSCPA does on behalf of its members and the CPA profession. The various committees and task forces develop, recommend and implement programs that help make TSCPA a viable, valued organization that benefits its members. The time commitment for each varies, depending on the issues and tasks at hand. Most TSCPA committees and task forces average one to two meetings per year. Typically, meetings are held at the TSCPA office in Brentwood, but are sometimes held by conference call.
TSCPA is currently seeking volunteers to serve for a one-year term, beginning on July 18, 2013. If you are interested in becoming a candidate for service, please click here to indicate your desire to be considered for appointment by Thursday, Feb. 28.
Please note that even if you are already serving on a committee, you must reapply so we know of your continued interest.
Conference Task Forces
If you're not interested in participating on a committee, but still want to share your input with the society, you might be interested in one of our conference planning task forces. TSCPA appoints these on an as-needed basis to plan specialized conferences for the profession. You can make a significant difference by participating in your area of specialized expertise. Please check the TSCPA website often for those opportunities throughout the year.
