Income Tax Manager
Perkins & Marie Callender’s Inc. is currently
seeking a candidate to fill the position of Income Tax Manager. This individual
will provide support to the Tax Director with preparation of federal and
multi-state corporate and partnership income tax returns and financial tax
accruals as well as reviewing tax depreciation for fixed assets. In addition,
will participate in sales and use tax audits as well as provide research and
compliance review for tax-related functions. Must have three or more years
experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns, Bachelor’s Degree
in Accounting or related field, CPA or MBA, and a minimum of three years public
accounting experience (preferably in the restaurant industry). Interested

The Large and Mid-Size Business Division (LMSB) of Internal
Revenue Service is hiring recent graduates for Internal Revenue Agent positions
under the Federal Career Intern Program (FCIP). Though called an “internship”,
this is a full-time, permanent employment opportunity.
Are you:
A recent graduate (or will graduate by June, 2009) with:
o a Master of Accounting or Master of Taxation with a minimum 3.0 GPA, OR
o an MBA with a specified concentration in Accounting or Taxation with a minimum 3.0 GPA, OR
o
a CPA license?
AND have
o College coursework that includes a MINIMUM of 24 semester hours of Accounting, including Principles (usually 2 semesters), Intermediate (usually 2 semesters), Cost Accounting, Auditing, and an Advanced Accounting course
- A U.S. citizen?
- Eager to pursue a career in federal income tax administration, where you will receive training and experience working with large, complex, corporate tax examinations?
If your answer is “yes” to all of the above, you may be interested in pursuing this opportunity to work with Internal Revenue Service’s LMSB Division.
In 2009 we will be hiring Internal Revenue Agents in many locations across the U.S. The agents will be hired at the GS-09, with annual promotions to the GS-11 and GS-12 levels. If selected, you will be provided extensive formal classroom and on-the-job training in the area of corporate federal tax examinations. Upon successful completion of the three year program, you will be promoted to the GS-13 full performance level as an Internal Revenue Agent. Currently, the annual salary for GS-13 ranges from $80,000+ to well over $100,000.
