Walter H. Nunnallee, Esq., CPA
Walter Nunnallee is a professor of tax law at North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. He received a B.A. from Florida State University, a J.D. from the University of North Carolina, and an L.L.M. (Taxation) from the University of Florida (where he finished first in his class). Nunnallee has worked as a CPA with KPMG Peat Marwick, and as a tax attorney with the law firm Manning, Fulton, and Skinner in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has published tax articles in various publications including: The Tax Lawyer, Oregon Law Review, The Review of Taxation of Individuals, and Tax Notes. Nunnallee frequently lectures at tax conferences and CPE workshops. From 1989 through 1991, he served as a discussion leader for Federal Tax Workshops speaking on the following topics: Subchapter S, Partnership Taxation, Purchase and Sale of Closely-Held Corporations, Individual Tax Update, and Corporate Tax Update. Beginning in the fall of 1992, Nunnallee began serving as a speaker with Don Farmer, CPA, P.A. Seminars on the following topics: Federal Tax Update, Corporate Taxation and Individual Taxation. The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants has recognized Walter Nunnallee as a "Distinguished Discussion Leader," and the North Carolina Society of CPAs awarded Nunnallee the "Outstanding Discussion Leader" distinction, both as a result of his consistently high ratings. Nunnallee continues to be one of the most popular speakers at various national tax conferences. He also served as the 1992-1993 Chairman of the Tax Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
