Certified Financial Planners Continuing Education2008-09 CFP/CE Course Calendar The TSCPA has a new educational benefit for CFP professionals. As a CFP, you are required to meet certain CE requirements to maintain your certification. Some of the training courses offered by the TSCPA meet the CE requirements of the CFP Board of Standards. Thanks to our partnership with AICPA and Surgent McCoy CPE, the Society is able to offer CFP professionals CE credit that applies toward their CE requirements with the CFP Board of Standards. When you register and attend one of the TSCPA's registered AICPA and Surgent McCoy CPE training courses that meets the requirements of the CFP Board, the Society will work with AICPA and Surgent McCoy CPE to ensure that your CE credit is reported automatically with the CFP Board, so you don't have to! How do I apply for the CFP Continuing Education Credit? To ensure that you receive the CE credit you need, be sure to supply us with your CFP ID number as assigned by the CFP Board of Standards when you register for one of our participating courses. If you register online, there's a section to complete indicating that you wish to receive CFP/CE credit and for you to include your CFP ID number. If you register by phone, fax or mail, simply indicate that you wish to receive CFP/CE Credit and include your CFP ID number on your registration form. Once we get that information, we'll get you registered for the class, preregistered for the CE credit, and we'll take care of working with AICPA and Surgent McCoy CPE to make sure that your credits are reported to the CFP Board of Standards - it's that easy! If you have any questions on CFP Continuing Education Credit, please contact Sarah Schulz at 615/377-3825.
