Barry has nearly three decades of experience in the information technology (IT) and healthcare industries as a CIO, CTO, senior IT audit manager, and IT risk management consultant. He has performed and managed complicated HIPAA security reviews and audits for some of the most sophisticated hospital systems in the country.

Barry is a visionary, creative, results-oriented senior-level healthcare executive with demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and implementing complex information-technology solutions to address business opportunities, while reducing IT risk and exposure. Matt Wolf

Matt is a director and senior health care analyst with RSM's national health care practice. He has 10 years of business valuation experience and leads the national health care business valuation consulting team. His senior analyst responsibilities include advising the firm's health care clients and client servers as they work to navigate the rapidly changing industry environment. Matt regularly writes, presents and advises on regulatory changes, digital transformation, consumerism and other issues transforming health care.

With respect to business valuation, Matt and his team have provided valuation advisory services for a variety of purposes, including buy and sell-side management planning, financial reporting, such as FASB Accounting Standards Codification Topics 350, 360, 718, 805, 820 and 958-805, and physician compensation.

Jeffrey C. Nahley

Jeff Nahley is a 30+ year investment banker who started his career in the New York Corporate Finance Group with Bankers Trust Company (BT) in 1986. During his seven years with BT, Jeff completed a variety of Debt financing, High Yield, M&A and Advisory assignments. Before moving to Nashville, TN in 1993, Jeff was a Vice President in BT's New York Mergers & Acquisitions group. Since moving to Nashville, Jeff has been a Partner/Shareholder and senior Managing Director with three middle market boutique investment banks, Equitable Securities, Avondale Partners and Signal Hill Capital. His investment banking experience includes completion of more than 100 transactions in the Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, and Mergers & Acquisitions arena. Jeff joined BoA Securities' Investment Banking Group in July 2019, and is based in Nashville. His practice efforts within BoA primarily focus on Healthcare Services clients and transactions throughout the US.

He is a graduate of Middlebury College and Columbia Business School.

Ronny Rowell

Ronny is the President of Specialized Dental Partners. Specialized Dental Partners is a leading Dental Support Organization with over 370 specialist in 35 states. Ronny has 16 years of experience in multi-site operational leadership. His experience spans public and private companies including Davita, JCP and National Veterinary Associates. His passion for developing individuals and teams has driven his approach to business and leadership.

Prior to his work in operations, Ronny was an Infantry Officer of Marines. He completed two combat deployments to Iraq in 2004 and 2005. He received a Bronze Star with Valor for operations in Falljuah, Iraq. Darron has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He is a partner in KPMG's Deal Advisory practice focusing on the healthcare sector. Darron has worked for both private equity and strategic buyers relating to financial and commercial due diligence both from a buy side and sell side perspective.

Darron has led numerous due diligence projects during the past 25 years in various sectors of the healthcare industry. Darron's sector experience includes healthcare providers [hospitals (acute, psychiatric, rehabilitation, LTAC, etc.), home health/hospice, long term care, assisted living, physician practices, surgery centers, infusion, dialysis centers, imaging centers, skilled nursing, etc.], managed care health plans and related back office operations, healthcare service providers and medical supplies/equipment manufacturing and distribution companies.

Darron incorporates an integrated team of KPMG professionals to address financial, tax, commercial, operational, carve out/stand alone costs, information technology, compliance and back office due diligence issues for his clients and provides a single deliverable to the client with the combined engagement team findings. Ash is a U.S.-based Advisory executive with KPMG specializing in healthcare IT, including meaningful use achievement, health information exchanges, longitudinal clinical records, cloudbased healthcare IT, and clinical and other healthcare business intelligence.

Ash is a highly experienced healthcare professional at the cutting edge of information technology (IT) advances in the sector. In a career spanning over 25 years, Ash has worked for some of the world's leading IT and consulting firms, using technology to drive improvements such as telemedicine, e-commerce, membership systems, customer service and healthcare management.

As Senior Executive Director Healthcare for Americas with Cisco, he was responsible for payers, providers and life sciences accounts including the Mayo Clinic, WellPoint, Cigna, Wellcare, Medtronic and Kaiser. He led the development and deployment of telemedicine solutions with key clients and government agencies.

Prior to this, Ash was Vice President Health Solutions for Wellpoint, supporting over 32 million members (one in 10 Americans) in enterprise applications. He also held senior positions with KGT Global Technologies, IBM and Accenture, leading executive teams in the U.S. and around the world through major change programs in hospitals, medical service providers, physician group practices and managed care organizations.

Ash's breadth of experience is typified by his first two roles: first as owner of his own consulting and medical management business, and then with The University of Cincinnati Medical Center in the U.S., where he managed a $250 million annual budget for several departments including Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Lab Medicine, Managed Care, Cancer and Pharmacy.

Brian J. Malcom, Esq.

Brian Malcom is a Shareholder for Baker Donelson's Birmingham's office. For nearly 15 years, Mr. Malcom has advised and defended banks, lenders, and other financial services institutions in a broad range of litigation matters in state and federal courts. He also has considerable experience representing health care providers and other organizations in the health care industry in complex litigation.

Mr. Malcom routinely represents and advises receivers in receivership proceedings involving senior living facilities and long-term care facilities. He has successfully sought the appointment of receivers over wastewater utilities, a pharmacy, health care facilities, and senior living facilities.

Mr. Malcom also counsels global advisory and brokerage companies in contract disputes with brokers and competitors, in commercial disputes, and in ERISA litigation. In representing his clients, he proactively seeks to minimize his clients' liability and prevent future disputes. If a dispute moves forward and a trial is necessary, he works closely with his clients to achieve the best outcome in a cost-effective and timely manner.

In addition to his financial services and health care litigation, Mr. Malcom has extensive experience defending clients in product liability and commercial litigation disputes. He has successfully defended clients in claims asserting violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Truth in Lending Act (TILA). Other experience includes antitrust claims; bond and warrant claims; municipal bankruptcies and collection of obligations owed by government entities; and lien claims.

While attending law school, Mr. Malcom served as a law clerk in the U.S. Senate for Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) on the Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts.

Matthew L. Warren, CPA, CVA

As a senior manager within PYA's valuation services group, Matt provides business valuation and related advisory services for a variety of entities, including physician practice groups, joint ventures, hospitals, and health systems. He has significant experience evaluating compensation and service arrangements between health facilities and physicians. Additionally, he provides litigation consulting services related to lost profits, merger-and-acquisition transactions, wrongful termination, and marital dissolution matters.

Justin Burk, CPA

Justin has served in several transaction-focused roles since joining HCA Healthcare in 2010. He supports the assessment, valuation and transaction of healthcare services businesses across the United States and in the United Kingdom. Justin's experiences range from developing local physician-hospital relationships, to growing a health system's network through the acquisition of outpatient and post-acute services, to partnering with hospitals and health systems. Prior to HCA Healthcare, Justin started his career advising healthcare clients as a consultant for J Taylor & Associates.

Justin is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Certified Public Accountant. He received a Master of Accounting degree from Belmont University as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Richmond. He resides in Nashville and supports several Nashville nonprofits including serving on the advisory board of St. Augustine's Chapel.

Perry G. Moore

Dr. Perry Moore is the Charles E. Frasier Chair of Accountancy, Director of the MAcc Program, and Director of Assessment at Lipscomb University's Pfeffer Graduate School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor, and is Certified in Risk Management Assurance. A Nashville native, Perry graduated from Lipscomb with a degree in accounting and then completed his graduate studies at the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia.

For the Tennessee Society of CPA's, Perry is a member of their Scholarship Committee. Perry has also directed their "Accounting Academy", a program designed to attract high school students to accounting careers.

Perry is active in the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has served as a Past-President of their Nashville Chapter. Perry is also a Past-President of Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for business majors, where he currently serves as Treasurer.

Perry provides training for CPAs across the state of Tennessee on Professional Ethics. In 2023, the Tennessee Society of CPAs named Perry as a TSCPApex Award recipient in honor of his exemplary efforts and achievements in advancing the accounting profession through his leadership on the Tennessee State Specific Ethics CPE Program.

Perry serves as a member of the CPE Standards Working Group for the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). In 2015, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs honored Perry with their International Teaching Excellence Award. In 2022, the AICPA honored Perry with the Mark Chain/FSA Innovation in Graduate Teaching Award. He has also received teaching awards from the Tennessee Society of CPAs, Lipscomb University, and the University of Georgia.

Christopher Kuehl

Dr. Chris Kuehl is a Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence. He provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients around the world. He is the chief economist for several national and international organizations, Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, Finance, Credit and International Business and the Business Information Industry Association. He is also the economic analyst for several state accounting societies – Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Kansas.

Prior to starting Armada in 1999 he was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years – teaching in the US, Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore and Taiwan. He holds advanced degrees in economics, Soviet studies and East Asian studies.

Jane Jerzak, RN, CPA

Jane brings three decades of audit and consulting experience to her work with PYA healthcare clients in the areas of financial modeling, clinical data analytics, and strategic advisory support. Along with the PYA Business Intelligence and Managed Care service lines, she assists health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician clinics to recognize appropriate reimbursement.

Jane is a recognized thought leader and has authored articles on a wide range of topics, including value-based care, strategic hospital analytics and pricing, clinical integration, population health, and more. She developed healthcare industry presentations on strategic, financial, and reimbursement topics, including: "Understanding the Impact of Value-Based Care," "Business Analytics for Critical Access Hospitals," and "Strategic Hospital Pricing."

Kristin Orrell, CPA

Kristin is a Managing Director in Crowe's Accounting Advisory practice and has over 20 years of public accounting, industry and standard setting experience. She specializes in the accounting for complex technical accounting topics including revenue recognition, consolidation, accounting for financial instruments, and also advises on a variety of issues in the mergers and acquisitions space. During her career, Kristin has provided accounting advisory services to public and private companies with transactions involving businesses with sales ranging from $10 million to billions in annual revenues in a variety of industries.

Kristin has worked at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), giving her a unique perspective on accounting developments and their impact on companies. Kristin spent 12 years in PwC's Transaction Services group both in London and New York, and spent several years in industry, serving as the Chief Accountant of a pharmaceutical company, and as the Global Growth Markets Revenue Controller and M&A Revenue Controller at a publicly traded technology company. In her Controllership role in the technology industry, Kristin helped implement ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, analyzed all of the company's largest revenue generating contracts, drafted new policies and footnote disclosures, and helped structure new customer contracts. In addition, Kristin launched a revenue diligence function within the Controllership and Corporate Development and was responsible for revenue reporting post close.

Devon Stone, CPA

Devon is a Senior Manager in Crowe's Accounting Advisory practice. He spent the first 8 years of his career within Crowe's commercial audit practice and has been a part of Crowe's Accounting Advisory practice for over one year. He currently manages accounting advisory services to clients focused on technical accounting and financial reporting.

In his nine years at Crowe, Devon has serviced both public and privately held companies. His time in Crowe's Commercial audit practice allowed him to understand the unique financial intricacies of his clients' businesses and provide tailored audit solutions. Further, he has been instrumental in guiding clients through accounting and financial reporting implications of various corporate events and transactions. Since transitioning to Crowe's Accounting Advisory practice, Devon currently services clients with financial reporting and technical accounting needs. His areas of technical expertise include debt and equity instruments, debt modifications, derivatives, revenue recognition, leasing, capitalized software, and goodwill and long-lived asset impairment.

Alaina Capanna

Alaina Capanna is a senior manager in the Technology and Business Transformation practice at Crowe and specializes in Digital Health. She has been consulting within the health IT area for over 15 years and adjunct teaches in the Health Informatics school. Alaina also speaks nationally about all areas of healthcare best practices and has been publishing documents in this space since 2019.

Alaina has 20 years of experience in all areas of the full life cycle implementation, integration and optimization of EHR and other healthcare systems across all specialties in ambulatory, acute and long-term care. She has become a digital health leader and has a deep understanding of integration between multiple healthcare applications and can provide valuable insight to an implementation, clinical assessment, merger and acquisition, optimization, help desk management and upgrade. Her experience encompasses all aspects of implementation including program management, application integration, workflow analysis and design, strategy and road mapping, advisory, system build and test, end-user training, command center and Go-Live support, help desk support, triage management, system maintenance, optimization, and upgrade. She has led numerous successful implementations, merger and acquisition integrations and system optimizations in her career.

Goldie Aranov

Goldie Aranov is a senior manager in the Technology and Business Transformation practice at Crowe and specializes in Health Care Performance Improvement. She has been consulting within the health care space for over 15 years where she has provided services to academic medical centers, community hospitals, physician/faculty group practices, and long-term care centers.

Goldie has deep expertise in revenue cycle operations, performance improvement, technology transformation, EHR implementation, transaction integration, and other strategic planning initiatives. Goldie is particularly adept at leveraging data analytics and technology to drive decision-making and improve revenue cycle and finance outcomes. Her services include system selections, business office restructuring post health system merger, revenue cycle EHR design, and strategic roadmap development for performance improvement initiatives. Her extensive experience has enabled her to lead numerous successful projects that have significantly enhanced operational efficiencies and financial performance for her clients.

Andy Russell, MD

Dr. Andy Russell assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer for Williamson Health in 2018. Prior to the appointment, Russell - a board-certified emergency medicine physician - led the Williamson Medical Center Emergency Department for many years as its medical director.

Russell is a native Tennessean, born and raised in Memphis. A graduate of Rhodes College, Russell earned his medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University before completing the University of Kentucky's Emergency Medicine Residency Program. In 2017, Russell earned his Master of Business Administration from Auburn University.

Russell and his wife, Nancy, live in Franklin, Tennessee and have two adult daughters. When he is not working at the hospital, Russell often can be found on the golf course or on his bicycle somewhere on the backroads of Williamson County.

Catherine Montgomery

Cathy Montgomery has served as the County Health Director at the Williamson County Health Department (11) years. Her career in public health spans more than 25 years where she has worked in both state and local health departments in Florida and Tennessee. Cathy has bachelor's and master's degrees in health education from Florida State University and serves on suicide prevention and opioid task forces in Williamson County.

She and her husband Jim - a retired police officer and Brentwood Police Department employee - reside in Spring Hill, and she is Gigi to two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Miles.

Philip J. Lay, CPA

Jason Lay is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the McNabb Center located in Knoxville, Tennessee. The McNabb Center is the region's leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social, and victim services.

In the Center's 74-year history, Jason is the first person to hold the CFO position. He is a Licensed CPA in the State of Tennessee, and his career specializes in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting. Jason is an active volunteer in both professional and community areas where he currently participates on the TSCPA Health Care Conference Planning Committee, the TSCPA Governmental & Not-For-Profit Conference Planning Committee and serves as the Treasurer of the Tennessee Association of Mental Health Organizations.

Randolph P. Johnston, MCS

Randy has been a top-rated speaker in the technology industry for over 40 years. Inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame in 2011, Randy is listed as a Top 25 Thought Leader in Accounting from 2011-2023. His influence throughout the accounting profession is highlighted once again this year by being a recipient of the 2022 Accounting Today Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting award for the eighteenth consecutive year. Among his many other awards, he holds the honor of being one of nine technology stars in the U.S. by Accounting Technology Magazine.

In addition, Randy writes a monthly column and produces a weekly podcast for The CPA Practice Advisor, features for the Journal of Accountancy, creates articles for accounting and technology publications, and is the author of numerous books. He has started and owns multiple businesses, including K2 Enterprises in Hammond, Louisiana, and Network Management Group, Inc. in Hutchinson, Kansas. NMGI has supported CPA firms for 30+ years and is the largest managed service provider serving the CPA profession in North America. His wife and four children enjoy many experiences together, including theatre, music, travel, golf, skiing, snorkeling, and model trains.
