The deadline for license renewals with the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy is December 31. Be on the lookout for a postcard reminder in your mailbox by the end October and don't forget, the CPE deadline is December 31 as well, so make sure you are up-to-date on meeting your CPE requirements!

IFRS Courses
In 2002, IASB and FASB agreed to harmonize their agenda and work towards reducing differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP. It has become apparent that FASB is working hard on this goal as recent pronouncements of both the FASB and the IASB are bringing the standards more in line with one another. In addition, the SEC recently removed the reconciliation requirement for foreign issuers to reconcile their financial statements from IFRS to U.S. GAAP.

Ethics Self Study Update
Last month, we started the pilot testing phase of our Ethics Self Study Program. The pilot testing is going well. The deadline for all pilot testers is Oct. 15. The Ethics Self Study program should be released before the end of October. Keep your eyes and ears open for our announcement.
