
The Tennessee Society of CPAs’ Federal and State Tax committees schedule liaison meetings in the spring and fall of each year with their respective taxing authorities, and encourage members to submit agenda items for discussion at these meetings.
The Federal Tax Committee will hold its next liaison meeting with representatives from the Internal Revenue Service on May 19, 2008. The State Tax Committee, which meets with representatives from the Secretary of State, Department of Revenue, Department of Employment Security and Department of Economic Development, will meet on May 28, 2008. Please use the Problem Report Form to submit your items for consideration on the agenda.
Representatives from the Tennessee Association of Accountants, Tennessee Enrolled Agents, the National Association of Tax Professionals and the Tennessee Bar Association are generally invited to participate in the liaison meetings.
