Thanks to everyone for a successful first meeting! We had a great turnout, with more than 300 people attending both the lunch and afternoon CPE.
The Memphis Chapter has 320 young CPA members who represent 19 percent of our chapter. We have a very active Young CPA Committee this year and are excited to be able to support their programs. Our September meeting will focus on the Young CPAs, but we believe the entire chapter will find the topics useful. This month Megan Murdock will be with us to speak on social networking and provide an hour of CPE credit during your lunch hour.
Our afternoon speaker is David Humes, co-author of Stepping Stones to Success. Humes will be speaking to us on “Taming the E-mail Tiger” and “Ultimate Goal Planning and Achieving.” Learn how to get more out of Microsoft Outlook and use it as a high productivity tool as well as more about setting and achieving your goals. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to become a “black belt at time management and getting organized!”
September also brings our annual golf tournament at Ridgeway Country Club. Our members look forward to this event each year, and the net proceeds provide funding for our scholarship program. The cost to participate is $130 per person or $500 to sponsor a hole. As in the past, tee time is 1 p.m. and lunch will be provided. We hope to see you on the course!
Hope to see everyone in a few weeks at the meeting!

To participate please click here to complete the mentor questionnaire and e-mail to Crystal Epps at Crystal.Epps@sedgwickcms.com.
