The annual
TSCPA Memphis Chapter golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21 at
the Ridgeway Country Club. Lunch will be provided. In addition to a day of
golf at one of the premier courses in the Mid-South, there will be a
silent auction with opportunities to find great deals on green fees at
some area courses as well as other items from the local business
community. Below you will find links to the registration forms for
sponsors and individual participants. All benefits will go to the TSCPA
scholarship fund.

2009-2010 Memphis Chapter Officers

McCuller |
At the March 10 chapter meeting,
the following chapter members were elected by acclamation as
officers for the 2009-2010 year: President Brian McCuller,
President-Elect Ginny Szalay, Vice President of Programs
Mark McBryde, Vice President of Membership Renee Patey,
Secretary Sondra Harris, Treasurer Michael Johnson. The new
officers will officially assume their duties following the
TSCPA annual meeting during the TSCPA Convention held June
14 - 16 in Asheville, N.C.
Incoming Chapter President
McCuller is member in-charge of state and local tax with
Thompson Dunavant in Memphis. Prior to joining Thompson
Dunavant, McCuller practiced in the state and local tax
groups at two national accounting firms - Arthur Andersen
LLP in Atlanta and Ernst & Young LLP in Memphis. McCuller’s
entire career has been devoted to the practice of state and
local taxes, and he has more than 16 years of public
accounting experience assisting clients with complex
multi-state tax transactions.
Since joining Thompson Dunavant in 1999, McCuller has led
the firm’s efforts in the state and local tax area. Under
his leadership, TD AdVantage Tax has become one of the
fastest-growing practices in the Southeast. With offices in
Memphis and Atlanta and more than 15 professionals, TD
AdVantage Tax is a comprehensive practice focusing on
income, sales, use and property tax. McCuller has been a member of
TSCPA's State and Local Tax Committee for eight years, and
was chairman for three years. He is also actively involved
in the legislative process by providing comments on pending
legislation to the Tennessee Department of Revenue. He is a member of the Institute for
Professionals in Taxation, the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the American Bar Association
and the Mississippi Bar Association. McCuller has a bachelor
of business administration from The University of Texas and
a juris doctor from The University of Mississippi.
