Ask A CPA - Ask a CPA is a voluntary service to the public provided by the Tennessee Society of CPAs and is available to residents of Tennessee only. Ask CPAs general tax questions here. The society staff will make every effort to encourage a response to your question in a timely manner. However, delays or lack of a response may mean that there is not a simple answer. Call For Problem Reports - The Tennessee Society of CPAs' Federal and State Tax committees schedule liaison meetings in the spring and fall of each year with their respective taxing authorities, and encourage members to submit agenda items for discussion at these meetings. Submit your agenda items for discussion at the next meeting.

Tax Resources Now Available - Tax Saving Tips for 2008 (requires Member login)
Members have access to a brochure, speech and PowerPoint presentation geared toward assisting clients with preparing for the 2007 tax season, produced by the AICPA Communications Team. Topics covered in these resources include health savings accounts; filing basics; family, homeowner and education-related tax strategies; retirement savings tax breaks and tax breaks for investors. Members can use these resources to promote their practices and services, and increase their visibility in their communities. Member may access these resources by clicking here.

AICPA Tax Center - The tax center provides guidance, information and practice tools to the tax practitioner. It also supports the three major objectives of the Tax Section Strategic Plan.

Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County

  • Online Filing of Tangible Personal Property Schedules - Davidson County Assessor of Property, Jo Ann North is pleased to announce a new program called "B" ONLINE. Effective, February 1, 2007, business owners and professionals will be able to file their annual Tax Schedule B (tangible personal property schedule) online with the Davidson County Assessor of Property. Davidson County is one of the two counties in Tennessee, and in fact, the country, that has this program.
