President's Message

Chapter Members:

Wow! Where did the year go? I have learned that as I get older, time seems to move much faster. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as chapter president this year. I have learned how to trust those around me to "do a good job." Stephen and Paul, you both made this year very easy and I thought we set a strong model for future officer's of this chapter. We worked seamlessly together and for that, I thank you both very much. Next I would like to thank the TSCPA staff. Your support of our chapter made things work very smoothly. Lastly, I would like to thank the chapter members who gave us feedback and constructive criticism when we needed it. Your faithful participation was greatly appreciated. Without your support we would not be able to be successful in our endeavors.

To the business of the chapter, let me say that our May lunch meeting was such a success that we are going to bring it back in June. Our June meeting will be June 23 at Premier Place. Meal time will be 11:30 with our chapter meeting to follow. Our speaker will be Mark Crocker. Mark is the executive director of the State Board of Accountancy and we look forward to his presentation. I realize that we had planned to have it on June 22, but we needed to move it to accommodate Mark's schedule. Please make your reservations and plan to attend. In closing, I would like to wish all of you a great summer and urge you all to continue to support our chapter.
