J. Dale Crow, JD
J. Dale Crow, JD serves as Counsel of the Professional Services Group of Risk Strategies. Dale provides insurance brokerage and consulting services for accounting firms. Prior to joining Risk Strategies, Dale practiced law for almost ten years with Lewis, Thomason, King, Krieg & Waldrop, P.C. He has substantial litigation experience in the area of professional liability. Dale draws on this experience in assisting his clients in risk management, engagement letter review, and the placement of their professional liability and property & casual insurance. Jason M. Pannu, JD
Jason M. Pannu is a Lewis Thomason shareholder based in the firm’s Nashville office. He is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Jason currently serves as President-Elect of the Tennessee Bar Association and will serve as President in 2018-2019.
Jason practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on the construction industry. He also practices in the areas of professional liability, environmental law, employment law, and insurance coverage disputes. As part of his construction law practice, Jason advises architects, engineers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in connection with large-scale projects.
He regularly appears in State and Federal Courts and arbitration on construction defect claims, professional negligence claims, breach of contract claims, and lien and bond claims. In his professional liability practice, Jason represents accountants, lawyers, insurance agents, consultants, brokers, and miscellaneous professionals. He also advises clients regarding litigation avoidance and assessment.

Charles Henson has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years and currently serves as Managing Partner of Nashville Computer, Inc. He has written three books, Hassle-Free Computer Support, Cloud Computing A Guide for Executives & Business Owners, and his latest book The Business Owners Guide To I.T. and All Things Digital, Vol.2: 17 Critical Facts Every Business Must Know To Maximize Their Company’s Efficiency, Security, Employee Productivity and Profits. In this book Mr. Henson was joined by a select group of leading I.T. experts from across North America to co-write what instantly became an Amazon best seller.
Charles became interested in technology at a very young age. He got his first computer from a school friend in 1984. His thought was that if computers break, someone would need to fix them. This simple thought drove Charles to get a degree in Electrical Engineering from ITT Technical Institute. Since then he has never stopped reading about and learning all of the new technologies as they become available. He feels that he needs to be a trusted advisor to all of his clients.
In May 2010 he was invited to the Google Headquarters in California for his personal feedback and opinions on the Google Adwords product offering and to give feedback on the training in which he took part. Charles has been interviewed and featured in the Redmond IT Magazine regarding Backup Disaster Recovery solutions. He has worked with and has been trained on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) a technology used to encrypt data and communications. Additionally, he has been asked for his insight and invited to discussion groups and interviewed by peers and industry leaders to help build a common Cloud Computing Blueprint.
In 2014, Mr. Henson received the Nashville Business Journal’s CIO Award which recognizes top technology leaders in Middle Tennessee. He is passionate about teaching and advising all who will benefit from his IT experience and has become well known around the Nashville area through speaking engagements, news interviews, teleseminars and webinars.

Mark Koziel is Executive Vice President – Firm Services for the American Institute of CPAs. He leads the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS), Firm Relationship Management, Small Firms, Diversity & Inclusion, Young Member Initiatives, Technical Hotline and Center for Plain English Accounting. His teams build and manage firm relations with all size firms, promoting awareness and value, including advocating for CPA firm success and ongoing relationships with public accounting influencers. His team creates innovative programs and engagement strategies to engage a diverse pipeline of current and future CPAs. He frequently speaks on CPA issues around the United States.
Prior to joining the AICPA, Koziel served three years as Director of Media Planning for a political consulting firm after finishing his twelve-year public accounting career in a variety of accounting, auditing and consulting roles at a large local accounting firm in Buffalo, NY.
Koziel was an active member of the Buffalo Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs. He was one of the founding members of the Young CPAs committee and served as Chair for two years before being appointed to the Buffalo Chapter Board and serving as President for the 2003-2004 Fiscal Year, one of the youngest President's in the history of the Buffalo Chapter.
Koziel was named in the top 10 of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today in 2015 and has appeared on the Top 100 list since 2008. He has also been named as one of CPA Practice Advisors' 25 Thought Leaders 2012 through 2016. Koziel was also named to the Global Accounting Power 50 list by The Accountant Magazine and the International Accounting Bulletin in 2014 and 2015.
Koziel graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College in 1991. He holds the CPA in NC and is a CGMA.Back to Speakers
J. Russell Madray, CPA, CGMA
With more than 30 years of professional experience, including stints at two Big 4 accounting firms, Russ Madray is a nationally-known accounting and auditing thought leader, writer, and advisor helping CPAs throughout the country understand and implement technical accounting and auditing issues.
Mr. Madray is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Accountancy at Clemson University, one of the country’s most selective public research universities. He also serves as Scholar-in-Residence at Elliott Davis, in Greenville, SC. With more than 750 professionals across the southeast, Elliott Davis ranks among the top 30 accounting firms in the U.S.
As an author, Russ is responsible for several of the profession’s best-selling books. He also authors many of the AICPA’s publications and is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Accountancy. In addition, he serves as a Senior Fellow in the AICPA’s Center for Plain English Accounting, the AICPA’s national accounting and auditing resource center.
Mr. Madray earned a B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University in 1986 and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Clemson University in 1988. He is a certified public accountant, a certified global management accountant, a certified internal auditor, a certified management accountant, and a certified financial manager. He is a past member of the AICPA’s Accounting and Review Services Committee and has served on several other AICPA and state-level committees and boards.Back to Speakers
Douglas E. Warren, CPA, CFF, CFE
Douglas E. Warren is Senior Partner and CEO of WarrenJackson CPA’s PLLC. Mr. Warren has over 42 years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigations and taxation. Mr. Warren is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics and Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
Mr. Warren currently serves as Past Chair of the CPA Examination Review Board. Mr. Warren has served on the AICPA Board of Examiners and 4 terms as a member of Tennessee State Board of Accountancy. He serves on various non-profit and corporate boards including Peoples Bank of East Tennessee, PetroBeam, Inc., Samaritan Hands and Chair of Sweetwater Hospital. He is currently President of the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
Mr. Warren was the recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Discussion Leader awarded by the AICPA and a founding member of the Center for Public Trust. Mr. Warren speaks nationally on the topics of forensic accounting, fraud investigations, ethics and taxation. He has conducted fraud and ethical training for Campbell Soup, Black & Decker, Radio Shack, United States Postal Inspectors, Penske and other national entities.Back to Speakers
Dr. Chris Kuehl is a Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence. He provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients around the world. He is the chief economist for several national and international organizations – Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, Finance, Credit and International Business and the Business Information Industry Association. He is also the economic analyst for several state accounting societies – Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee and Kansas.
Prior to starting Armada in 1999 he was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years – teaching in the US, Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore and Taiwan. He holds advanced degrees in economics, Soviet studies and East Asian studies.
Chris is the author of Business Intelligence Briefs and Executive Intelligence Briefs - both publications from Armada. He is also responsible for the Credit Manager’s Index from NACM and Fabrinomics from the FMA.
