8:00am - 9:40am (Central Time)

Technology is commoditizing the accountant's role. While this may seem daunting, it is also an invitation to accountants to evolve and create a career they truly love. Whether you work for a firm, or have your own practice, you must learn how to be more than just a number cruncher. You have to think outside the box and add your personal flair.

In this interactive presentation, Danetha will go over how technology is impacting the role of accountants and share the new skills you need to develop. You will learn how to articulate your unique skills and personality to attract your ideal clients, and the #1 secret to becoming a respected thought leader in your area of expertise. At the end of this presentation, you will walk away with the exact steps to take to create a thriving accounting career.

9:55am - 11:35am (Central Time)

You are in charge of your performance and career development.  Discover new ways of working with your supervisor or manager to build cooperation and achieve success that benefits both of you.  The session will cover:

  • Understanding your manager
  • Developing your value to your organization
  • Building trust and a better relationship with your manager
12:25pm - 1:15pm (Central Time)

During this session, Caren shares her experiences with adversity and how your choices in the face of unexpected hardship can lead toward personal growth and heroism.

1:20pm - 3:00pm (Central Time)

We’re often overwhelmed by the volume of information and the many distractions we face at work.  It’s no longer enough to just focus on your time management:  it’s time to think about how you manage your attention, focus, energy and habits.
In this interactive and informative session, you can look forward to learning practical tips that will help you save time, reduce stress and generate playful, productive momentum at work.

3:15pm - 4:05pm (Central Time)

We are not winning the war on culture in public accounting, because we are not changing how we work. We have an incredible opportunity to increase our profession’s relevance, and we have before us a future of abundant growth and impact, if we work together to change how we are working. Even though most of know the things we need to do, too many of us are finding the “HOW” to be a struggle.  We keep talking about needed changes in the profession, yet we are not making sufficient progress.

This presentation moves beyond why we must change to remain relevant, and shifts the conversation to how to remain relevant as we move to an anticipatory mindset.
