Mark E. Steadman, CPA, CGMA

Mark Steadman CPA, CMA is a Professor of Accountancy at East Tennessee State University. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Tennessee. A member of TSCPA for 35 years, he is currently on the Board of Directors, TSCPA Council and the Scholarship Awards Committee. He has also served on the Nominating Committee, the Silent Auction Committee and Accounting Education & Career Awareness Committee.

Clint O. Pearson

Clint Pearson is a Partner in BDO’s tax practice and has over 20 years of experience providing a wide range of tax services to clients that range from closely held businesses to Fortune 100 corporations. He has extensive experience in federal, international and state tax compliance and consulting, and leads BDO’s Southeast ASC 740 Income Tax Accounting group. Clint serves public company clients as well as a variety of companies owned by private equity groups and individuals. His areas of experience include corporate taxation, consolidated returns, partnerships, and multi-national taxation. Clint also has experience implementing tax-advantageous strategies, assisting with complex mergers and acquisitions, advising on tax accounting methods and performing Section 382 studies. He has written articles for the AICPA’s Tax Advisor magazine and frequently speaks at tax training seminars.

Clint has worked with clients in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, insurance, transportation and telecommunications. He has also assisted clients in managing complex Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state tax examinations.

Prior to joining BDO, Clint held tax and accounting positions at Deloitte and Merrill Lynch.
