Please join the Nashville Chapter for our November meeting at The Factory in Franklin. During our lunch meeting, we will enjoy a professional issues update by TSCPA Chair Douglas E. Warren. After lunch Dr. Perry Moore will present Tennessee ethics.

Please register by Thursday, Nov. 9. A late registration fee of $30 will be added to all registrations beginning Friday, Nov. 10.

Douglas E. Warren, CPA, CFF, CFE

Douglas E. Warren, is managing partner of Warren & Tallent CPAs, PLLC, holds designations as a CPA, Certified in Financial Forensics and Certified Fraud Examiner. He received his BS in accounting from Tennessee Wesleyan College.

Warren is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars across the country. He was named the 2016 AICPA Speaker of the Year. His primary concentration is in the area of taxation, fraud examinations and litigation support. He has provided expert testimony in over 35 cases and oversees the firm’s litigation consulting practice.

Warren serves on several boards and is currently the Chair of the Tennessee Society of CPAs.

Perry G. Moore, CPA, CGMA, CIA, CRMA

Dr. Perry Moore is Professor of Accounting and Director of Graduate Business at Lipscomb University in Nashville. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and is Certified in Risk Management Assurance. A Nashville native, Perry graduated from Lipscomb with a degree in accounting and then completed his graduate studies at the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia.

For the Tennessee Society of CPA’s, Perry is a member of their Professional Ethics and Accounting Career Education Committees. Perry has also directed their “Accounting Academy”, a program designed to attract high school students to accounting careers. Perry serves as At-Large Member of the Nashville Chapter’s Board.

Perry is active in the Institute of Internal Auditors. He has served as a past-President of their Nashville Chapter. Perry is Past-President of Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for business majors.

Perry provides training for CPAs across the state of Tennessee on Professional Ethics. He serves as a member of the CPE Standards Working Group for the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). In 2015, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs honored Perry with their International Teaching Excellence Award. He has also received teaching awards from the Tennessee Society of CPAs, Lipscomb University, and the University of Georgia.
