Jonathan C. Bailey, MAcc, CGMA

Jonathan Bailey is chair of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). He is responsible for leading the board of directors and council, working in partnership with the TSCPA President/CEO and staff to develop and support the society’s strategic vision, always working to promote, protect and support the CPA profession in Tennessee.

A professional with over 34 years of experience, Jonathan’s accounting career began with Ernst & Young in their Chattanooga office before he returned to northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia as a leader in corporate tax and treasury functions for Fortune 500 entities in diverse industries, including chemicals, coal, building materials and software. For over 10 years, Jonathan was a regular speaker to East Tennessee State University’s accounting professionalism class.

Jonathan is a licensed CPA in the state of Tennessee and holds the credential of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Jonathan is a member of TSCPA, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tax Executives Institute. Jonathan currently serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Kingsport and chairs the audit committee. Jonathan is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business, holding a degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy in Tax. Jonathan is an active supporter of the Haslam College as well as the UTK Alumni Association.
