Q: What is TSCPA's sponsor number?

Q: What exactly is the AICPA discount?
A: AICPA members will receive a $30 discount per 8-hour day off the price of designated 8-hour AICPA-sponsored courses. This discount is available until the date of the course and cannot be applied retroactively. Designated AICPA courses will be identified in all marketing pieces. Members of the AICPA who are not members of the state society are NOT entitled to the TSCPA member discount fee.
Q: Do I qualify for the TSCPA member discount fee?
A: You may qualify to receive the TSCPA member discount fee if you are a CPA and have paid your TSCPA membership dues. (Note: TSCPA membership is on an individual basis only, not by firm/company.)
Q: How will I know if you received my registration?
A: Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation notice via email.
Q: How do I cancel a course I am already registered for?
A: Cancellations will be accepted online, by email or phone and must be received prior to the program date. Cancellations are not available for self-study products, including On Demand Video self-studies and the AICPA Professional Ethics Exam. Cancellations requested eight (8) days or more prior to the program date are subject to a $50 processing fee. Cancellations requested seven (7) days or less prior to the program date forfeit the entire registration fee. Cancellations will not be accepted on or after the conference or seminar date. Cancellations for registrants selecting eMaterials are not accepted after the eMaterials are posted on TSCPA’s website (this is a requirement of education vendors).
Q: Can I only take 20 percent of my CPE in self-study format?
A: Self-study can equate to 100 percent of required CPE. However, periodical reading and testing cannot exceed 20 percent of the total required CPE. The reading of any journal or periodical for continuing professional education credit is subject to the 20 percent limitation as "Other CPE." Self-study courses are allowed if the sponsor has been approved by NASBA's Quality Assurance Service Program. Information about QAS may be found online at www.nasba.org.
Q: How do I receive credit for watching a TSCPA webcast?
A: At the end of the video, click on the "Claim Your CPE" button. This will take you to a form where you can input the codes. The form will be submitted to TSCPA, and you will be issued a certificate of completion via email. Forms must be submitted the same day as the webcast to receive CPE credit.
Q: How do I receive credit for watching a TSCPA On Demand video?
A: For On Demand videos, at the end of the video, click the "Take Exam" button. This will take you to an "exam," where you can input the codes. Once completed, the system will automatically apply CPE credit. For a copy of the certificate of completion, click "Print Certificate."

TSCPA Policies & Procedures
Registration for CPE programs is open to anyone, and seats are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Multi-day programs must be attended by the same registrant each day.
How to register:
- Online: Individual and firm administrator registration is available online via the TSCPA Online Course Catalog.
- Phone: Contact TSCPA via phone at 615-377-3825.
- Fax: Fax your completed registration form to 615-377-3904.
- Mail: Mail your completed registration form and payment to The Educational & Memorial Foundation of the TSCPA, 201 Powell Place, Brentwood, TN 37027.

Registration Fees: The following discounted fees are available to early registrants, members of TSCPA and/or the AICPA:
- TSCPA Member Discount: You may qualify to receive the TSCPA member discount fee if you are a member in good standing. (NOTE: TSCPA membership is on an individual basis only, as opposed to by firm/company.)
- Early Bird Registration: An Early Bird registration discount is available to members and non-members who register with payment two weeks before the conference or seminar date.
- AICPA Member Discount: AICPA members will receive a $30 discount per 8-hours of content off the price of designated 8-hour AICPA course. This discount is available until the date of the course. Designated AICPA courses will be identified in all marketing pieces. Members of the AICPA who are not members of the state society are NOT entitled to the TSCPA member discount. Must be a TSCPA member to receive discount.
Registration fees for one (1), two (2) or three (3) day seminars and/or conferences include course eMaterials, boxed lunch daily and beverages. Lunch is not included at ACPEN Broadcast courses, four-hour courses (including 4-hour courses at Chattanooga, Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville Account-Fest events.)
Registrations will be confirmed via email to each participant. Confirmations will be sent after payment is received and registration is processed. Please read your registration confirmation email carefully to verify CPE program information, including date, location, time, etc. Occasionally, there may be an important change, such as location, to accommodate more participants for courses in high demand.
If you are taking part in an online learning event from an outside vendor, login and course eMaterial information will be included in your registration confirmation email. If you have not received confirmation at least two (2) business days prior to the program date, contact the Society office to verify receipt of your registration.
Cancellations, Late Arrivals, No Shows, Substitutions and Transfers
Cancellations will be accepted by our new online tool (details below), email or phone. Substitutions and transfers will be accepted by email or phone. All must be received prior to the program date. Cancellations, substitutions and transfers are unavailable for self-study products, including On Demand Video Library courses and the AICPA Professional Ethics Exam.
Cancellations requested eight (8) days or more prior to the program date are subject to a processing fee and must forfeit printed manual fee. Cancellations requested seven (7) days or less prior to the program date forfeit the entire registration and printed manual fee. Cancellations cannot be made on or after the program date, or after the eMaterials are posted on TSCPA’s website (a requirement of education vendors).
Substitutions and transfers must be received prior to the program date and will be subject to a processing fee.
Cancellation, Substitution and Transfer Fees:
- 1 to 3-hour programs: $10 fee
- 4-hour programs: $25 fee
- 8-hour or more and conference programs: $50 fee
Online CPE Event Cancellations Tool
As an added tool for management of your CPE schedule, CPE event participants can now go to the TSCPA website and cancel their CPE classroom event registration online. Money cannot be refunded through the online system. Any funds will be placed directly to your Money on Account with TSCPA. Here are the steps to cancel a registration:
- Go to www.tscpa.com and login with your unique username and password.
- From the CPE tab located on the top ribbon on TSCPA’s homepage, click on My CPE & eMaterials.
- All current registrations will be listed. Locate the course to withdraw and click Cancellation on the right side of the page under the Tools column.
- The online cancellation tool will ask for confirmation of cancellation. Click continue.
- An event cancellation will appear noting the credit applied to your Money on Account to be used for future CPE programs.
A registrant who fails to attend a program is considered a no show and forfeits their entire registration fee. To avoid being a no show, please follow the guidelines noted above and contact TSCPA prior to the program date. No shows are ineligible for printed course materials, transfers, money on account or refunds at any time.
Your seat will be held for 60 minutes after the event begins. If you don't notify TSCPA 60 minutes after the program begins of your attendance, your seat may be given to another individual who is present and wishes to register for the program. If you arrive later, you may attend the program (space permitting).
A CPE program will be cancelled if the minimum number of participants necessary to hold the event has yet to be met at least two weeks prior to the program date. When a program is cancelled, you will be notified by TSCPA and given the choice to transfer into another program or receive a full refund. TSCPA is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred if a program is cancelled or moved to another location.
All CPE program refunds will be made payable to the individual or firm by check if the original payment was made by check. If original payment was by credit card, a credit will be issued to the card used for purchase.
TSCPA Chapter Events: No cancellation fees or transfer fees will apply for chapter events.
Only eMaterials are available for TSCPA's CPE programs. TSCPA registrants understand and agree to the following:
- Once eMaterials have been uploaded to your My CPE & eMaterials page, TSCPA will be unable to offer a refund regardless of the reason for cancellation (a requirement of education vendors).
- All materials received by TSCPA are protected by copyright, and reproduction or resale of any of the materials is expressly prohibited.
- All eMaterials will be uploaded to your My CPE & eMaterials page seven (7) days in advance of the CPE program and will be available to all registrants for seven (7) days following the program. Simply log in and click Download eMaterials under the program listing. If registered for a TSCPA self-study product, access to the video self-study and related eMaterials will be available through TSCPA’s My On Demand Courses page. All self-study purchases will be accessible from this personalized page.
Smoking is prohibited in all TSCPA-sponsored programs. Areas where smoking is permitted shall include outdoor areas and other areas as posted.
In order to maintain a comfortable and productive learning environment for participants, unnecessary distractions within the classroom must be avoided. All disruptive communication devices, including laptops and phones, must be placed on silent mode during all TSCPA CPE events.
Verification of Attendance
A copy of the Verification of Attendance, noting the credits earned, will be emailed within two weeks of the program. Attendance is monitored throughout the entire program. CPE hours will be adjusted for late arrivals, early departures and no shows. Upon your arrival each day, please check in with the course administrator to ensure proper credit.
If taking part in an online learning course, during the course of the video, a number of alphanumeric codes will appear periodically. When you see one of these codes, write it down. The number of codes will vary depending on the length of the video.

The form will be submitted to TSCPA, and you will be issued a certificate of completion via email. Forms must be submitted the same day as the webcast to receive CPE credit.

For TSCPA members, CPE hours earned for TSCPA webcasts or On Demand Video Library courses will also be recorded in your online CPE Tracker.
TSCPA works to select only those CPE program locations that are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you have special needs, please contact TSCPA via email at email@example.com and submit requirements in writing.
For your comfort, it is best to dress in layers, no matter what the season. Climate control affects everyone differently, and what may be warm to some may seem a bit cool to others. Remember to bring a pen and a calculator to CPE courses so you are prepared if a need arises.

How Much CPE Do You Need?
All Active CPA certificate holders are required to obtain 80 hours of CPE in a reporting period. The Accountancy Act of 1998 exempts inactive certificate holders from CPE.
