Pruitt Receives Impact Award From Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Gina Pruitt, CPA/CITP, CRISC, CISA, CCSFP, of Hermitage, was recently presented with the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TSCPA) 2023 TSCPApex Impact Award.
The TSCPApex Awards Program recognizes the many ways that individuals contribute significant time, energy and intellect to developing the accounting profession and fostering its success. The Impact Award is given to a TSCPA member who has distinguished himself or herself in philanthropic activities.
Throughout her career, Pruitt has dedicated her time and talents to community service initiatives as well as those that advance the accounting profession. Pruitt currently serves on the TSCPA Board of Directors; TSCPA Council; Board of Trustees of the TSCPA Educational and Memorial Foundation; and Student Outreach, Advancement, and Recruitment Committee. She has also served on TSCPA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
Pruitt is currently member-in-charge at KraftCPAs PLLC, where she has helped take the lead in her firm’s on-campus recruiting project, helping to identify, organize and lead in-person events on college campuses throughout the Southeast. Her dedication to the next generation of CPAs has also led Pruitt to work with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) CPE Evolution initiative to update the CPA Examination, the University of Tennessee’s Accounting and Information Management Advisory Board and Tennessee Tech University’s Accounting Advisory Board, where she helped develop Tennessee's only online MAcc program.
In addition to frequent appearances as a guest speaker, panelist and presenter at industry-specific events, Pruitt has been published in multiple online and print media outlets. She is a founding charter member and past president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ISACA. Pruitt has also served as chair of the Institute of Internal Auditors and on the Nashville Technology Council Board.
