TSCPA Awards $250,000 in Accounting Scholarships
TSCPA has awarded scholarships totaling $250,000 to over 100 top accounting students at 17 different colleges and universities in Tennessee. Four exemplary students were awarded the prestigious King Foundation scholarships, worth $25,000 each. Over the last 25 years, TSCPA has awarded nearly $3.5 million to more than 3,000 students, helping them pursue a degree in accounting and sit for the CPA Exam.
The TSCPA scholarships are funded primarily through an endowment program known as the Life Associates Program, which was established in 1978 to recognize CPAs who made significant contributions to the scholarship fund for accounting students in Tennessee. Since that time the program has recognized over 640 CPAs who have become Life Associates, and it now provides up to $300,000 in scholarships annually to deserving accounting students in Tennessee. These awards are determined on the combined basis of academic achievement, leadership, professor recommendations and financial need.
