Instructors
David K. Babb
David Babb, CPA, is a Senior Audit Manager at Rodefer Moss, based in Johnson City. Specializing in employee benefit plan audits, David’s career spans various sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality, and staffing. After he began his journey at a large regional firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, he served clients for 12 years at Blackburn, Childers & Steagall, before ultimately joining Rodefer Moss.
David holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting from East Tennessee State University and is a licensed CPA in Tennessee. He’s also certified in Employee Benefit Plan Intermediate by the AICPA. Actively involved in professional associations, David is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
Outside work, David has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House Charities and completed the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership 2020 Class. He’s recognized as a leader in his field, having received the Tri-Cities Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award.
