Nano Learning: Stop Sludging Others

N-214  |  On Demand Course  |  Intermediate  |  Self-Study

Description

Sludge is an unfortunate yet common behavior that arises when people make sarcastic, facetious, or snarky comments, jokes or jabs about someone's behavior or circumstances as a sideways and unhelpful way of delivering feedback. One example is when someone is working in a flexible environment and someone who doesn't appreciate their flexible work arrangements makes a joke about it. In this course, we'll learn more about sludge using flexible work environments as an example, and we'll discuss strategies for moving past it.
