Instructors
Ronald Klein, J.D.
Klein has been with CAMICO since its inception in 1986 and managed the claims department for 25 years. In his current role, he leverages his extensive knowledge and expertise of CPA professional liability issues to help CAMICO policyholders practice sound risk management, which can help them avoid or mitigate claims. He also serves as a resource to CAMICO staff. Klein is a frequent speaker, and his primary responsibilities include risk management-focused CPE (through both webcasts and speaking events), and developing loss prevention content and tools for policyholders.
Educated as an accountant and attorney, Klein holds a BS in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University in Los Angeles. Prior to joining CAMICO, he was a controller, a practicing attorney, and a vice president of finance in the real estate syndication industry. Klein is co-author of the book CPA's Guide to Effective Engagement Letters. Klein received the CalCPA Distinguished Service Award in 2020 for his service protecting the CPA profession in liability, legislative and educational matters.

Chad Roberts enjoys helping people and solving complicated problems. Professionally he does this through business and estate planning. For over a decade, he has helped clients establish businesses, develop plans to reduce taxes, sell successful businesses, purchase a new business, and plan for transition from one generation to the next. He has also worked with families in drafting trusts and wills, and helping to develop estate planning strategies to transfer assets to children, charities, and other beneficiaries. Chad also has a strong history of working with the IRS and state taxing authorities in resolving tax disputes.
Chad became a tax lawyer because of a nerdy love for the tax code and the desire to help people save money and plan for the future. Over the course of his practice, he has developed friendships with clients that provide him with opportunities to offer advice that has saved them millions of dollars and provided peace-of-mind in knowing their legal affairs are handled and prepared.
Chad has also supported clients through the intimidating process of fighting audits by the IRS or a state taxing authority. With the experience of carrying numerous cases through the appeals and litigation process, he has reached numerous successful resolutions for his clients.

David is a practicing attorney with over 35 years of experience representing a wide variety of clients, including world renowned entertainers and professional athletes. He is skilled in matters involving both federal and state tax controversy, tax planning, international/offshore tax, bankruptcy, and business planning. His vast expertise has allowed him to assist thousands of clients in the successful elimination of tens of millions of dollars in taxes.
Prior to joining the team at Harris Shelton, David founded the Law Offices of Monypeny and Associates, PC and he grew it to include offices in Memphis, Nashville, and Destin Florida. David succeeds at reaching successful settlements with taxing authorities over a wide range of tax matters through carefully reviewing, organizing, and presenting the evidence and legal arguments that support his clients' positions.
As an extension of his practice, he offers his professional expertise through speaking and writing engagements centered around tax-related issues to fellow tax professionals.
