Tennessee Launches Modernized Unemployment Tax System
The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development recently announced that it has fully modernized the state’s unemployment system with the implementation of Unemployment Tax functionality on http://www.jobs4TN.gov. The new system went live on May 27.
If you previously filed Premium and Wage Reports or Payments through the TNPAWS or Third Party Upload Systems (TPU), you can now perform those functions through the new employer e-Services portal on http://www.jobs4TN.gov.
If you already have a state unemployment account number with Tennessee, you can register for a web services logon to gain access to the new system. If you already have a web services logon, you will be granted full access to your account and do not need to update anything.
Through the new e-Services functionality, employers will be able to self-serve in many ways they could not before, such as viewing balance status, viewing wage reports, making payments and/or generating payment vouchers, updating account information, and viewing and sending direct messages to the agency within the system.
