Ortiz Receives Emerging Leader Award From Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Luis Ortiz, CPA, of Nashville, was recently presented with the Tennessee Society of CPAs’ (TSCPA) 2025 TSCPApex Emerging Leader Award.
The TSCPApex Awards Program recognizes the many ways that individuals contribute significant time, energy and intellect to developing the accounting profession and fostering its success. The Emerging Leader Award is presented to an individual who has made noteworthy professional accomplishments and stood out in the areas of professional knowledge, skill, integrity and leadership.
Ortiz works for EY as a senior associate in international tax, managing complex cross-border transactions, tax planning and compliance. At EY, he heads the Latin Professional Network business resource group, which organizes events to promote inclusivity within the firm.
Over his three years of TSCPA membership, Ortiz has made significant contributions to the society. He previously served as a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. He has also provided advice and support to up-and-coming CPAs, speaking with college students at the Future CPA Leadership Summit and the Nashville Chapter’s Future CPA Night. Outside of the society, Ortiz mentors several students from his alma mater and is an active member of the Nashville Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America.
