Franks Receives Women to Watch Award From Tennessee Society of CPAs
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Lindsey Franks, CPA, of Jonesborough, was recently presented with the Tennessee Society of CPAs’ (TSCPA) 2025 TSCPApex Women to Watch (Emerging Leader) Award.
The TSCPApex Awards Program recognizes the many ways that individuals contribute significant time, energy and intellect to developing the accounting profession and fostering its success. The Women to Watch (Emerging Leader) Award highlights the accomplishments of emerging female leaders in the accounting profession.
Franks’ commitment to the accounting profession and drive to serve have solidified her as a rising leader in TSCPA, her firm and her community. Currently, Franks works for LBMC as a tax manager. At her firm and her alma mater East Tennessee State University (ETSU), she has been instrumental in engaging the next generation of CPAs. Franks is actively involved with LBMC’s recruiting efforts at ETSU and has volunteered for three years as part of the university’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.
As a TSCPA member, Franks has been a key contributor to the success of the Knoxville Chapter. During her time as chair of the chapter’s Young CPAs Committee, attendance at the group’s events nearly doubled. She has served as the 2024-25 chapter president and has held nearly every chapter leadership position available over her six years of TSCPA membership. In her service to the society, Franks has also volunteered with the Discover Accounting program and has been a member of TSCPA Council.
