Victoria (Tori) Heavey is the recipient of the TSCPA John Glenn Award. Each year, the John Glenn Award honors the successful candidate that achieved the highest score on the Uniform CPA Exam in Tennessee and successfully passed all four parts of the exam on the first attempt.

Heavey graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting in May 2020, where she achieved a 4.0 GPA. She then received her Master of Accountancy with a concentration in taxation in July 2021 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Heavey passed the Uniform CPA Exam in 2021 and is one of 57 recipients of the AICPA’s Elijah Watt Sells Award. She currently lives in Dallas and works for KPMG as a tax associate for private equity and family offices.

“I chose to pursue the CPA because of the variety of opportunities it can provide,” Heavey says. “My accounting professors encouraged and persuaded me to pursue the CPA because I could enter public accounting, work in industry or eventually teach accounting to future students. I am grateful for the connections the CPA has given me through a network of admirable educators and professionals.”
