TSCPA is Seeking Volunteers for 2022-2023 Committees

January 26, 2022

TSCPA is currently seeking volunteers to serve as committee members and is beginning the process of identifying members who may be interested in serving.

TSCPA committees are responsible for much of the work that TSCPA does on behalf of its members and the CPA profession. Committees develop, recommend and implement programs that help make TSCPA a viable, valued organization that benefits its members.

Members can volunteer for up to two committees. The time commitment for each varies, but most committees average one to two meetings per year. Committees may meet in person at the TSCPA office in Brentwood, virtually or in a hybrid format to provide convenient opportunities for members to participate.

Most terms for committees run for one year unless otherwise noted. The majority of terms will begin June 15, 2022, with some Conference Planning Committees beginning sooner.

A PDF guide that describes each committee in more detail is available for download. TSCPA members are encouraged to review the various committee volunteer opportunities and determine the best fit for their specific area of interest, desired time commitment and term length.

Members can submit their committee volunteer preferences online between January and March of each year. The chair-elect of the Society reviews all volunteer submissions and makes appointments in late April. Please note that even if you are currently serving on a committee and wish to continue, you should still complete the volunteer form to be considered for reappointment.

The deadline to submit a volunteer application is March 31, 2022. If you have questions, please call the TSCPA office at 615-377-3825.
